Expresivă originală creativă vodca Absolut a fost lansată în New York în 1979. Sticla transparentă inspirată de o sticlă de medicamente din secolul al XVIII-lea s-a făcut remarcată prin simplitate într-o piață plină de extravaganță. Absolut este o vodcă gustoasă clasică distilată din grâu de iarnă. Această vodcă este de origine suedeză fabricată exclusiv din ingrediente naturale și spre deosebire de alte vodci nu conține zahăr adăugat. Are un gust bogat și complex dar neted și moale cu nuanțe distincte de cereale urmate de un indiciu subtil de fructe uscate. Principalele ingrediente din vodca Absolut sunt: apă ce provine dintr-o fântână adâncă din Ahus (Suedia) și grâu de iarnă. Grâul de iarnă diferă de celelalte tipuri de grâu fiind semănat în toamnă și recoltat anul următor tot toamna. În toată această perioadă dintre cele două sezoane grâul are timp să crească sub zăpada suedeză dezvoltându-și caracteristicile de care producătorii Absolut au nevoie pentru fabricarea acestei băuturi. Absolut și-a păstrat caracterul unic atât în ceea ce privește designul cât și gustul. Cât despre gustul Absolut acesta rămâne ingredientul perfect pentru un mix indiferent de ocazie. Întreaga gamă Absolut este produsă în sudul Suediei și se prezintă exact la fel ca atunci când a fost creată pentru prima dată.
