Distileria Jameson a fost fondata la Dublin in anul 1780 de catre John Jameson si tot atunci s-au pus bazele unei lungi traditii pentru calitate si succes, stabilind noi standarde in ceea ce priveste distilarea whiskey-ului. Acesta investise in cele mai bune echipamente la acea vreme si insistatase ca maturarea sa fie efectuata in cele mai bune butoaie disponibile. 60 de ani mai tarziu Jameson era a doua cea mai mare distilerie din Irlanda. Jameson Blender's Dog, parte din seria Whiskey Makers este un whiskey irlandez care sarbatoreste maiestria si indemanarea maestrului de blenduri de la Jameson, Billy Leigthon. Nu se stie sigur daca maestrul de benduri poseda vreo nota muzicala in capul lui insa armonizarea whiskey-urilor este calitatea lui principala. Acest whiskey este un tributul lui Jameson pentru indemanarea lui si un instrument pe care il foloseste pentru a-si auzi whiskey-ul cantand.Miros: Acest blend te imbie cu arome de la citrice pana la note de ananas, mango, kiwi cu adaugarea notelor de smochine si curmale imbinate cu note subtile de condimente, vanilie si stejar rumenit.Gust: Acest blend are un gust bogat, rotund si cremos cu o usoara dulceata usor condimentat insa imbinat perfect cu notele fructelor suculente si a stejarului rumenitFinish: Finish-ul este unul extrem de lung cu estomparea in timp a notelor de fructe zemoase
