Descriere
In anul 1966, Mark Edwin Andrews a cumparat Castelul Knappogue, un castel din sec XV-lea din Irlanda, care era atunci in ruine, iar el si sotia sa, un arhitect, s-au angajat apoi intr-un program ambitios de restaurare in efortul de a readuce structura la starea initiala de glorie si grandoare. In aceasta perioada, Andrews a inceput sa cumpere butoaie de whisky fin de la distilerii de top din tara, butoaie ce au fost ulterior imbatranite si imbuteliate sub ceea ce este acum Knappouge Castle. Knappougue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey 12 ani este expresia semnaturii Knappogue fiind un single malt exceptional realizat exculiv din malt de orz, triplu distilat in alambicuri traditionale de cupru si invechit in butoaie de stejar burbon timp de 12 ani. Procestul de distilare, impreuna cu climatul umed si temperat da aroma distinctiva a cestui remarcabil single malt irlandez.
