Legenda Tyrconnell s-a nascut in anul 1876, atunci cand R.M. Delamere, a inscrist armasarul sau castaniu, Tyrconnell, in prestigioasa cursa de cai de la National Produce Stakes. Victoria surpriza a calului acestuia in acea cursa a surprins imaginatia multimii adunate, care includea si cativa distilatori locali, printre ei fii A.A. Watt. Acesta a vrut sa comemoreze acest evenimet si a vrut sa produca o singura data intr-o editie limitata whisky-ul The Tyrconnell, acesta sfarsind de fapt sa fie cel mai bine vandut whisky al acestuia.Tyrconnell Double Distilled surprinde cu aromele sale de nuci prajite si stejar care usor se estompeaza si lasa loc notelor de miere bogata in textura. Finish-ul acestuia scoate in evidenta componenta de malt. Acesta se poate servi simplu sau cu cuburi de gheata sau se poate aduga o cantitate rezonabila de apa pentru a permite sa se prezinte mai clar nuantele si complexitatea acestuia.Miros: Mirosul acestui whisky irlandez se formeaza din note de lamaie, zahar, coaja de mere si note de vanilie si migdaleGust: Gustul este unul dulceag cu note de miere si citrice usor condimentate cu note de vanilie si condimenteFinish: Finish-ul este unul mediu cu note de vanilie si condimente
