Kane McKenzie Haig a fondat distileria la inceputul anilor 1720 in Kennetpans, langa Stirling, care a devenit cea mai mare distilerie a Scotiei pana in anii 1733, fiind numita si prima distilerie comerciala din lume. In acest moment brandul si distileria originala fac parte acum din Diageo, cea mai mare companiei de bauturi spirtoase din lume si un important producator de bere. Haig Club Single Grain Whisky face parte din gama de whisky-uri de la Haig care se spune ca sunt printre cele mai vechi whisky-uri scotch si chiar poate fi si printre cele mai vechi din lume, fiind un whisky incarcat de istorie de cand a fost distilat pentru prima data de John Haig in Cameronbridge din Scotia in anul 1824. Inca din acele umile inceputuri whisky-urile Haig s-au ridicat rapid pentru a deveni unul dintre cele mai reusite si populare whisky-uri scotiene din lume inainte de a cadea in declin cam in urma cu 30 de ani in urma cand acesta a parasit proprietatea familiei Haig si a trecut printr-o serie de companii multinationale de bauturi.Intre timp acest whisky a ajuns sub conducere si managerierea gigantului Diageo si este una dintre cele mai mari distilerii din Europa in momentul de fata. In 2014 Diageo a lansat o noua gama a whisky-ului Haig si anume Haig Club intr-o sticla albastra patrata distincta si ambalaj de lux fiind un scotch whisky linistit, versatil si usor de baut, care are ca scop convertirea noilor generatii de bautori tineri si de a-i calauzi in minunanta lume a whisky-ului single grain scotch.
