Descriere
Dalwhinnie este una dintre distileriile scotiene aflate la ce mai mare altitudine. Totu incepe cand John Grant, George Sellar si Alexander Mackenzie detineau in anul 1897 o distilierie de whisky. Au strans aproximativ 10000 de lire steline, pentru a construi distileria Strathspey de la Dalwhinnie intre Great North Road si calea ferata Highland. Locul pentru distilerie a fost ales pentru accesul sau la apa de izvor Lochan-Doire-Uaine si turba abundenta din baltile din jur. Denumirea Dalwhinnie este derivata din cuvantul galic Dail Chuinnidh, ce inseamna loc de intalnire, referindu-se la rutele antice de vanatoare de prin munti.Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition este un malt unic lansat ca parte a seriei Distillers Edition, fiind vorba de editia 1998 care a fost imbuteliata in anul 2015. Acest sortiment este recomandat consumatorilor care prefera un whisky foarte aromat, plin de personalitate si care doresc sa se bucure de calitatea rafinata a maltului scotian. Buchetul aromatic si gustul fin captiveaza de la prima inghitiura.
