Lichidul este maturat initial în butoaie din stejar alb American. Acesta oferă prima sa bază de note delicioase de vanilie și miere. Whisky-ul este împărțit în butoaie ex-bourbon de primă umplere, Tawny de 10 ani și butoaie sherry Matusalem de 30 de ani. Cele trei părți sunt apoi combinate pentru a se armoniza.
