Prima distilerie Jura a fost fondată în anul 1810, iar viitorul ei nu părea foarte strălucit. Archibald Campbell, proprietarul din acea perioadă, a distrus acoperișul distileriei pentru a evita plata chiriei, dar pe măsură ce ploile erau din ce în ce mai puternice pe insulă, părea că se aproprie și sfârșitul Jura. Împotriva tuturor așteptărilor, distileria a renăscut cu ajutorul a doi proprietari de teren, în anii 1960, singura dorință a acestora fiind viitorul insulei. Astăzi, și-a câștigat renumele fiind un whisky plin de viață și de înaltă calitate. The Sound este un sigle malt ce are o minunată culoare aurie. Aromele delicioase de alune, portocale, caramel și fructe de pădure se complimentează perfect, creând o băutură minunată cu un gust bogat și un parfum delicat.
