The Famous Grouse are o poveste ce incepe in anul 1896 atunci cand Matthew Gloag face primul blend de whisky in magazinul sau din Perthshire, Scotia. La inceput acesta sa numit simplu The Grouse insa in anul 1905 acesta s-a transformat in The Famous Grouse.The Naked Grouse a fost relansat ca un blended malt conceput pentru “generatiile mai in varsta”. Lansat pentru prima data in 2011 ca un amestec de scotch maturat in butoaie de Sherry de prima umplere, acesta fiind catalogat drept un plus “mai neted, mai dulce” pentru familia extinsa The Famous Grose.Acum insa acesta este relansat ca o marca independenta, facut dintr-o selectie de single malt-uri, oferind o aroma mai robusta decat predecesorul sau blended. Proprietarul Naked Grouse, a spus ca schimbarea este facuta ca raspuns la popularitatea tot mai mare a single malt-urilor si la cererea barmanilor pentru u whisky accesibil cu aroma distincta.Noul blended malt Naked Grouse a fost obtinut dintr-o selectie de whisky-uri single malt printre care se numara Glenturret, Highland Park si Macallan, fiind maturat in butoaie de stejar american si european de prima umplere si apoi fiind terminat in butoaie de Sherry Oloroso pentru inca 6 luni.Miros: Amestecul are arome de mere fierte si cireseGust: Gustul este unul fructat cu note de cirese si mere acesta putand fi servit cu cu cola cherryFinish: Finish-ul este unul neted, dulceag si usor fructat
