Talisker i-a nastere prin anul 1830, atunci cand fratii MacAskills construieste distileria Talisker la Carbost, pe malul Loch Harport, in ciuda opozitie localnicilor si clerului local. Prin 1898 Allan decide sa fuzioneze cu Thomas MacKenzie pentru a forma Diluaine-Talisker Distillery Co. Ltd cu toate ca pana atunci Talisker devenise deja unul dintre cele mai vandute single malt-uri din tara.Talisker The Distilers Edition este un single malt dus aproape la perfectiune intr-o armonie amar-dulce, care este o caracteristica atat de fascinanata a acestui whisky cu adevarat clasic, incat aromele de turba se inmoaie nu spre un gust piperat si spre un gust aromat cu fructe dulci si suculente. Acest sortiment isi petrece ultimele cateva luni de imbatranire in butoaie de Amaroso Sherry, inainte de a fi imbuteliate pentru a capata caracteristicile unice ale acestui sortiment.Miros: Buchetul acestui single malt este extrem de ascutit si bine concentrat, usor afumat si cu note dulciGust: Gustul acestui single malt este caracterizat de turba crocanta care se inmoaie spre o bogatie enorma si notele de malt dulce si sherry inlocuiesc ardeiul obisnuit cu o dulceata delicioasaFinish: Finish-ul acestui single malt aduce note de cacao adanci, vanilie si turba
