Talisker a luat naștere pe țărmul insulei Skye, împrumutând caracterul marin al coastei scoțiene care se reflectă în totalitate atât în gustul, cât și în mirosul whisky-urilor din gamă. Fiind cea mea veche distilerie de pe insulă, aceasta a dezvoltat, de-a lungul timpului, un gust atrăgător, dulce, bogat, savuros și foarte greu de uitat. Talisker Port Ruighe, pronunțat „ Portree”, după ortografia galică a portului de pe Insula Skye, este un omagiu adus comercianților scoțieni care au înfruntat marea și au jucat un rol esențial în întemeierea comerțului cu băutură de pe insulă. Acest single malt combină note maritime puternice cu note delicioase și dulci de fructe de pădure. Aromele intense afumate, dar stinse ușor cu bogăția prunelor coapte oferă un finish bogat și spectaculos.
