Descriere
Distileria Lagavulin dateaza oficial din anul 1816, cand John Johnston si Archibald Champbell Brooks au construit doua distilerii pe acelasi teren, unul dintre ei devenind Lagavulin, prelunda cealalta distilerie. In 1887, Peter Mackie a ajuns la distilerie, sub a carui mana calauzitoare distileria si numele Lagavulin, urma sa devina un reper important in lumea single malt-urilor din Islay si din Scotia.Lagavulin 10 ani este un single malt unic, maturat intr-o combinatie de foste butoaie de bourbon si butoaie noi carbonizate, inainte de a fi imbuteliate la alcolemia de 43%. Aceste whisky este initial dulce si sarat cu un final intens, picant si afumat. Dr. Craig Wilson, maestrul malt-urilor de la Lagavulin a declarat ca diferitele tipuri de lemn folosite la maturarea acestuia a ajutat la crearea unui whisky cu un caracter insufletit, usor si frumos, unul plin de contraste surprinzatoare.Miros: Buchetul acestui whisky se remarca prin aromele de miere, ceara, turba si note de caise, piersica si struguri albiGust: Gustul acestui single malt este unul apos, cu note de mere si pere si note de piper si turbaFinish: Finish-ul este scurt cu note de camfor si turba
