William Grant, fondatorul distileriei Grant's, a avut o calatorie mai neobisnuita in acest sens, de la pastor de vaci la tatal fondator al unuia dintre cele mai iubite marci de whisky blended din Scotia si lume, este corect sa spunem ca a avut un mic ajutor pe parcurs. Era anul 1887 cand William Grant si-a deschis prima distilerie in Scotia cu ajutorul celor sapte fii si cele doua fiice ale sale. William Grant stia cate ceva despre ce inseamna munca grea si de ce va avea nevoie de atata ajutor.Grant`s este un master blended al whisky-urilor, usor afumat, neted si fructat. Brian Kinsman, alege whisky-uri de cereale si de malt maturate in trei butoaie distincte, similar amestecului Triple Wood. Pentru aceasta se folosesc butoaie de stejar american, butoaie de ex-bourbon cu prima umplere si butoaie de stejar american virgine. Miros: o aroma distincta de fum, cu note subtile de fructe, ovaz si migdale prajiteGust: usor afumat, ciudat, cu o atingere moale si foarte „cruda” de ierburi si un indiciu de citrice. Finish: Finish-ul este unul catifelat de lemn dulce.
