Distileria Cardhu a fost condusă de două generații de femei pioniere Helen și Elizabeth Cumming, care au reușit să transpună într-o sticlă un simț elegant, un spirit liber și o dulceață de neuitat. În anii 1830, datorită dealului unde era ascunsă distileria, Helen vedea poliția venind, arunca făină peste ea și făcea pâine pentru a ascunde mirosul băuturii. Oferea polițiștilor ceai ca distragere și arbora un steag afară pentru a anunța celelalte distilerii de venirea acestora. Gold Reserve este un single malt excepțional. Acesta te încântă cu un buchet de arome superbe, cprecum stejar, miere, ghimbir și cardamon. Acestea se combină perfect cu note dulci de ciocolată, praline și caramel. Finish-ul este unul aromatic, complex și ușor condimentat.
