Descriere
Distileria Cardhu a fost infintata in 1824 de John Cumming, care fusese anterior un contrabandist de whisky. Distileria era amplasata sus pe Dealul Monnoch, deasupra raului Spey din regiunea Speyside din Scotia din cauza turbei care inmoia apa. Distileria era condusa in principal de Helen Cumming, sotia lui John, care obsinuia sa vanda sticle de whisky trecatorilor prin geamul casei lor.Cardhu Special Cask Reserve este preluat din butoaie de stejar foarte vechi si imbuteliate in sticla clasica Cardhu. Acest sortiment face parte din gama de top a acestei distilerii de lunga durat din regiunea Speyside, fiind immbuteliat in loturi mici acest single malt este cunoscut ca fiind dulce, aromat si usor de baut, iar puritatea gustului si textura catifelata ii confera acestui sortiment un aer deosebit.Miros: Buchetul aromatic al acestui single malt incepe cu note de caise uscate si ananas dupa care urmeaza valuri groase de caramel si miere din orz, iar stejarul batran in care este maturat ii confera o apartie picantaGust: Gustul are in centru arome de cereale si orz, inconjurate de note de stafide, coaja de citrice, ciocolata neagra dupa care se termina cu note de scortisoara si ghimbirFinish: Finish-ul este unul lung si intens cu note condimentate
