Son a fost răsplătită de către Regina Victoria cu un titlu regal pentru eforturile companiei de a clădi prestigioasa reputație. Ballentine's 12 ani este un blended scotch whisky care conține doar single malț whisky și este compus din aproximativ 40 de astfel de sortimente, iar câteva din single malțurile principale ar fi Glenburgie și Miltonduff. Ballentine's 12 ani este un whisky mai bogat, mai intens și mai cremos decât celelalte sortimente și se recomandă celor care doresc să savureze un whisky cu o aromă mai bogată și mai captivantă.
